Fondation Echaud — Captations artistiques
Recording of three outdoor artistic performances on the grounds of the Echaud Foundation (two of which are presented here), featuring the Zinga Collective, the St George Foundation and the Echaud Foundation.
I filmed three artistic performances staged on the grounds of the Echaud Foundation, featuring the Zinga Collective, the St George Foundation and the Echaud Foundation.
Two are featured here, those commissioned by the main client: *Dans les bois* and *Carte journalière*. Each performance took place outdoors, with its own set of constraints: the venue, natural light, the artists’ movements, and the need for discretion during the performances.
The aim was to produce a faithful video record without disturbing the artists or the audience. I adapted to each performance, found the right camera positions and captured the unique atmosphere of each one.
Objective
To produce a clear and accurate video record of the three artistic performances.
Result
A video recording of the two performances presented here, documenting the performances, the atmosphere of the venue, the artists’ movements and the interaction between the bodies, the space and the audience.
Lessons learnt
Artistic filming outdoors, with its challenges in terms of natural light, positioning and discretion. I adapted quickly to each performance, whilst maintaining a clear and consistent visual style.
