Les 7 corps du dragon — Captation vidéo
A video recording of the show *Les 7 corps du dragon*, filmed under stage conditions with careful attention paid to camera placement and lighting.
I filmed this performance at the same time as the stage photo shoot for *Les 7 corps du dragon*, for the same client and at the same venue: the Théâtre Le Bateau-Lune.
The challenge was to capture the performance on video whilst working within the constraints of the show: positioning cameras and lighting to film effectively, without disturbing the performers, the audience or the flow of the performance.
The challenge lay in the stage itself: low light, high contrasts, performers in constant motion, and action that could not be interrupted. I planned the camera angles in advance, adjusted the cameras, adapted the lighting and sought a balance between image quality and discretion.
Objective
To record the show clearly without disrupting the performance.
Result
A video recording designed to capture the performance in its entirety, using unobtrusive equipment suited to the stage lighting conditions.
Lessons learnt
Filming during a performance: plan for lighting, positioning and movement, whilst remaining as unobtrusive as possible.
