Championnat du monde des tracassets, reportage photo
A photo report from the World Tracassets Championship in Épesses, capturing the atmosphere, the decorated vehicles and the energy of the event.
I produced this feature with my production company, INVprod, at the World Tracassets Championship in Épesses, in the Lavaux region. The event takes place amongst the terraced vineyards and brings together ‘tracassets’ – small vineyard vehicles decorated for the occasion – in a lively, festive atmosphere.
I wanted to capture the whole day: the vehicles, the participants, the crowd, the details, the passing moments, and the atmosphere of the village. As well as the race itself, I sought to capture the energy of the day and the local attachment to this tradition.
Outdoors, I adapted to the pace of the event, the movement of people, the natural light and the unexpected, to produce a series of images that are vibrant and true to the atmosphere of Lavaux.
